Simon Lanteigne

Simon graduated from the Institute Maritime du Quebec in 2013, he has over 10 years of experience in the maritime industry. Actively working as chief mate on bulk carriers for over 6 years, he has completed numerous draft surveys for cargos including cement, grain and iron ore. He also performs the sea trials and the delivery by sea of newbuild fishing vessels from southern Nova Scotia to various communities in the Arctic (Nunavik).
Other competencies include ice piloting on foreign going vessels in the Gulf of St-Lawrence as well as consulting work for an NGO maritime research and development company based in Rimouski, completing contracts for clients such as Transport Canada, the Canadian Coast Guard, and the Laurentian Pilotage Authority.
Coastal Marine Surveyors Inc has worked with Simon on many projects and were very excited to welcome him to our broadly skilled team. Simon brings a new dynamic to help manage our clients needs in the Marine Surveying industry.
Jean-Gabriel Dumais
Based in Quebec, Canada
Having graduated in navigation from the Maritime Institute in Rimouski in 2012, he has been working in the maritime industry ever since. He has sailed on different types of ships, bulk carriers, self-unloaders, passengers, tankers, and containers. He has served at sea in Canada and abroad.
In 2017, he stopped sailing to take charge of the stevedoring operation for the McInnis cement plant in Port-Daniel. He was responsible for loading and unloading ships. Since then, he has also worked as a shipping agent, handling contacts between the port terminal and foreign vessels. Since 2020, he has taught navigation at the Quebec School of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Grande-Rivière. His ability to listen, his perfectionism and his professionalism at work will be an asset to our clients needs.
Waclaw Kuza

Waclaw is a dynamic professional with an extensive 20 years of sea-going experience including 8 years as a Master Mariner followed by 3 years as Fleet Operation Manager, Ship Safety Inspector, Designated Person Ashore, Fleet Compliance Manager in high-pressure, fast-paced, and strictly regulated international environments and over 11 years of marine surveying activities. 20 years of sea-going experience with extensive knowledge of the vessel’s operation and chartering procedure combined with 3 years of shore-based experience of Fleet Operator, Ship Safety Inspector, Fleet Compliance and Operation Manager, Designated Person Ashore and Company Security Officer. 11 years of Marine Surveyor role for Class, Flag, P&I Clubs and cargo interest parties Extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of chartering terms, procedures and Charter Party specifics.
